We adopted Apollo, along with her sister, from a family who owned two Great Pyrenees and had an unexpected litter of puppies. Apollo is a good dog for the right family. She is beautiful, strong, and so gentle with young children. We selected her because Great Pyrenees are known to be good with young children and livestock, and this was very important to us because we have young kids. That said, Apollo can get anxious with weather and likes to bark and escape our property a lot. I think that with a little more training and vet attention for her anxiety, she will be the perfect dog for a family. We are just unable to give the time and energy to help her more than we have (especially with all of our young kids!). Whoever adopts her will get a GOOD dog, but a strong and secure fence is a must.
