Facts About Me
Thank you Gawron Family!
The Gawron Family decided to sponsor a transport to assist animals in need and bring them to a great place to find new warm and friendly homes. There are many dogs that need a better opportunity and they will become dedicated to their new owners and bring enjoyment to families. Finding the right dog is not always easy but Joyful Rescues allows new owners the opportunity to meet the dogs and find the right connection. We are grateful for finding our dog Diesel thru Joyful Rescues and look forward to making another family as happy as we are.
Bravo was born about April 29, 2013 and weighs about 16 lbs. He is very social and loving to his humans and is nicely active for a dog of his years, but with a little Jack Russell mixed in we wouldn’t expect anything else. He definitely has Yorkie fur and will need to be groomed every couple of months to stay as handsome as he is right now. He ended up at a high kill shelter with a slit in his right upper eye lid which Dr. Rasnake repaired, but as you see in the photos there is still a little discharge from healing. It should heal just fine in another month or so. He was good about being groomed. We feel he should have an adult home going forward and he may have too much interest in cats to live with any. He should be fine with a dog of his size or larger. Mostly he is all about his humans. This is all we know so far and we will be learning as we go and so will you. The staff at the southern shelter feels that asking the humans dropping off their dogs is embarrassing as the reason is so often financial so the only information on the pets comes from our observation.
Here is an update from his recent adventure out and about: Bravo is wonderful on leash and loves to be the center of attention. If he thinks you have a treat (which he loves) he will bark to get your attention. He’s a really nice boy.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $300.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control – a ‘complete’ pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive – you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
