PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. ***This dog is currently located in Arkansas. He/She is listed in all the states we offer transport to or near. Transport is provided by www.heartsllc.com or www.alphadogtransport.com once there is an adopter ready to accept the dog. Meeting the dog prior to adopting is simply not possible, unless you want to come to Arkansas (we would be thrilled to have you, if you want to do some traveling!)Please check the websites referenced to see if one of our transporters offers a stop close to you. We do offer a refund and to take the dog back into rescue, if he/she is not as described or not a good fit for you, if you let us know within a week of receiving him/her. Please understand, we are listing our available dogs anywhere we can, to offer them the best chance of finding the right family and having a happy life filled with love.***
7/7/19 Dahlia is a beautiful girl who was dumped at a vet clinic. Someone walked in with her, off the street, and said the local shelter told him to bring her there until they had room for her. Something seemed off about the situation so the vet staff called the shelter after the guy left Dahlia with them, and found that no one from the shelter had sent him. He had said he found her as a stray, but everyone there agrees that Dahlia seemed very attached to him, so it is our belief that he was her owner and he decided to give her up for whatever reason. He never called or came by to check on her or to follow up. She has now been there for months and it is time for her to find a new home, with someone who will love her forever and will never leave her like that again. Dahlia gets along great with other dogs, doesn’t mind cats, and adores all humans, large and small. She is spayed, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. The vet estimates her age at 1-2 years and she weighs 46lbs. We believe she is a Boxer/Lab mix. She is leash trained, kennel trained, and seems to be house trained. Dahlia would make a great choice for first time dog owners since she has already learned these basics. She would do great in a home with or without children and other pets. SHe is a great, all around dog and will make a very loyal, loving companion. For more info, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $300-$350, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $250. This includes spay/neuter if old enough, (If not old enough for spay/neuter, the puppy will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract, which will require the adopter to have him/her spayed/neutered no later than 6 months of age), up to date age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $140 per dog. We use Uber Dog Animal Rescue Transport, and you can see more about them at www.uberdogart.com.
