You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.
When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Hi, my name is Dublin and I was transferred to FRGSR from a shelter where I was turned in as a stray, so my past is unknown. I am about 1 1/2 yrs old. I moved to a foster home that I share with two other GSDs, and my foster mom has noted the following: I enjoy the company of people more than dogs. I do get along with the other dogs in the home but I can be possessive of toys and my people, so a home without young kids is preferred. I would love to find a GSD-experienced adopter who loves outdoor adventures and who won't be gone for long periods of time. Like most rescue dogs, I'm a work in progress and I hope to participate in some training classes with my new adopter. My adoption fee is $350. Update: The volunteers have observed that I seem to really enjoy the company of SMALLER DOGS, so potential adopters with little, male canines, please take note! Also, my foster mom states that I'm fairly well behaved with the cat when my foster mom is present, but if she leaves the room and the cat starts to run, the chase is on, so potential adopters with cats will have work ahead. I'm still acting possessive of my toys and so potential adopters who have another dog would need to put the toys up. I really enjoy playing with my foster mom's personal dog.
Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, not all the animals you see may be available.
We get dogs often, so get your application in, and we will do our best to match the best dog to you and your circumstances.
