Please meet the beautiful Eden, our 3 year old pit bull/pointer mix. Eden weighs 60 pounds and has the most adorable brindle eye patches and wings of an angel. This sweet and gentle girl has been doing great in her foster home where she has excelled in potty training and crate training. Eden is weary of loud noises and can be timid around other dogs, but with proper introduction she has made some great four legged buddies! Eden likes to spend her time relaxing in her human's lap and finding the nearest sun spot to fall asleep in. She will be a loving and loyal companion to her future forever home! She is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.
A note from Eden's foster: "Eden is a sweet and cuddly girl who thinks she is a total lap dog. Her #1 goal is just to make you smile. She enjoys sleeping on her dog bed or in her kennel, but prefers if you move her dog bed as close to where you are on the couch as possible. For some dogs you'd think treats, or a special toy is their favorite item, but for Eden, it's a cozy blanket. She lights up and smiles so big when you cover her up with a blanket. You can tuck her in on her bed, leave for a few hours, and come home to her sound asleep in the same spot you left her! Eden is very well mannered in the home; she has never gotten into the trash, chewed anything up, or eaten food off of the counter. She hardly ever has any bathroom accidents. Even her "zoomies" and hyper moments in the home are contained. I don't know how she hasn't knocked over our shelf of nic-nacs. She really does have self & space awareness, unless you are on the floor and she is trying to sit on your lap of course.Eden can be leash reactive to other dogs, but this normally isn't an issue for us. In our residential area on a day to day basis her reactivity is correctable, and avoidable. But she does need an owner who can be her leader and is willing to put in a little bit of work. We have introduced her to a couple of dogs in the home, and while it took some time for her to get used to them, once she did Eden was submissive and such a gentle play-pal. Her best friend Pepe, a little Frenchie, weighs 45 pounds less than her. Eden knows all of the basic tricks: lay, stay, shake, sit. She understands roll over too, but usually gets stuck half way and just wiggles around; we're working on it. But all in all, she is a great listener. Training her has been fairly easy, she responds best to consistency and praise. She likes treats but they are not her main driver. We can trust her off the leash in the right environment too, she has never pushed the limits even when tested by a bunny or squirrel. Every day spent with Eden brings us pure joy. Sometimes her tail can be a whip, so watch out; don't leave that glass of red wine too close to the edge of the table, trust me! She is a go-with-the-flow gentle soul who understands how to match your mood. If you are feeling under the weather and just want to stay in, she will be there with lots of extra love. If you're feeling adventurous and want to go camping or take her on a hike, she is your girl. I know for a fact if you decide to bring Eden home, you'll never be lonely. She is great with kids, and has the patience of a saint. You can brush her teeth, clean her ears, clip her nails, lay on her, dance with her. Like I said, she just wants to make you happy. This girl is so full of love and is just waiting for her forever home full of cozy cuddles and blankets."
