First off I love this dog. He has been my running buddy for over a year now and is an excellent gentle giant. Biggest dog in the house, softest heart. We adopted him from a shelter and he was really timid around men at first. His behavioral concern comes from his fear of my husband. It creates a lot of problems and stress on the dog and spends a lot of time shaking in the corner. We’ve tried some therapy with them and had been working on their dynamic but it seems to only get worse and I’m worried Fenris is miserable. We have other dogs in the house and although Fen is sweet with all of them one doesn’t like him, and that hasn’t gotten any better either (and she was with us first). I want to make sure this dog has the best life possible and I don’t think that home is with us. He loves exercise and does well on trail and off-lead. I imagine with as gentle as he is he would be great with children. He doesn’t bark much so he’s good for apartments.
