Jack was born about June 10, 2012 and weighs 15 lbs.  He is here after his human went into a nursing home and family found a new home for the trio, but then discovered they were not being well cared for and a granddaughter agreed to take them in and find new homes or placement and two of them were entrusted in our care.  Jack is good with other dogs, but we feel he will also do well as an only dog as long as the humans are around much of the time.  He is very human motivated and decided his foster parents were pretty nice and loves lap time!  He is also good with cats.  We are told ‘somewhat’ house trained and that should get better now that he is neutered so there may be some work in this area.  He did well on his car ride here.  It seems he wasn’t on leash in his prior life, but has adjusted to the idea for the most part.  Jack is devoted to his humans and will hang with you off leash while you do your chores.  We are told you need to earn his trust and maybe that was the case on arrival, but it didn’t take too long for him to adore us.  Jack is a very lucky boy to have landed here and we promised the granddaughter that we’d find the very best home possible!  On Jack’s recent visit to PetSmart he was wonderful meeting everyone, he was good on leash, and non reactive to the cats he met.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $375.00.

Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control – a ‘complete’ pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. 

 

Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive – you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
