Facts About Me

My Story

Name: Lolly
Suspected Breed(s): Great Pyrenees mix
Gender: Female
Age: 2.5 years old
Weight: 67 lbs
Personality: friendly, affectionate, quiet, calm, eager to please, funny
Observations with Dogs: Good with other dogs but can get overexcited – she needs to learn that other dogs don’t like her to jump up on them, even though it’s always with friendly intentions.
Observations with Cats: Lolly usually ignores the cat in her foster home and is sometimes fearful of the cat.
Observations with Kids: Lolly has met children in her neighborhood and at the local farmers market. She is friendly, but her tendency to paw at someone when they stop petting her can be scary for young children.
House Training Progress: No recent accidents
Crate Training Progress: She is trusted to roam free, and there is no need for her to be crated.
Location: DC area foster
Rescued From: Roane County, WV
Additional Information: Lolly is a precious pooch with a sweet tooth for attention! She is a very easy-going, sweet, calm lady who wants nothing more than to lay next you in the air conditioning, get pets, and snooze. She loves going to farmer’s markets, breweries, and taking slow Saturday strolls. Lolly loves loves meeting new people and can’t wait to shake paws – she will even lay down in the middle of the sidewalk if it getting belly rubs from a new acquaintance! City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.

Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
