Meet MANNING! Manning was surrendered to BrightSide because he could no longer be cared for. Unfortunately we don't have a ton of information about Manning's past. We do know he would thrive with an active family and someone familiar with husky personalities, temperaments, and needs.
Manning is a strong-willed dog, both mentally and physically. He will need a confident owner.
Huskies can be aloof and independent. Manning is actually more affectionate and interactive with people than lots of other huskies. He likes people and is eager to please. Manning walks pretty well on leash but is a big guy so he's strong. Manning would do best with a securely fenced yard as huskies are great escape artists…Manning is no different here! Manning has shown some resource guarding behavior.
PUPDATE: Manning has done well in play group with some other dogs…he likes other huskies!
If you have another dog, we will do a meet & greet to see how they get along.
Although Manning is very friendly, he can be mouthy. Because of this and potential resource guarding, very young children might not be the best fit for him.
If you'd like to meet Manning, come to BrightSide today!
