Master Chief, “Chief” is an 8 month old Chocolate Lab/Beagle mix teenager who is handsome and smart and looking for a strong alpha leader home and people to call his own. From what we can tell , he was taken from his mom and litter mates at 4 wks old instead of 8wks. This has created a lack of development with his skills and knowledge on how to be with other dogs. At 34 pounds he seems to be well on his way to becoming a good mid-sized boy that will fill out when grown to be a 45 pound dog. He is neutered, chipped, and up-to-date on shots. He’s still learning basic commands. He is housebroken and crate trained. Due to his early separation from his litter and mom we see this boy currently a bit skittish with new people but warming in a little time. He is good with children 8 years old and up but doesn’t seem to like cats or other dogs. He has started some training on the dog aggression but the current mom just has no time to continue to work on it. She said he needs more than she can do for him and we are looking for someone that doesn’t mind a small challenge and can offer him a house with a fenced yard and some guidance on getting over his insecurities with other dogs. That is all that is going on with him really. He is a sweet dog that is playful and engages in ball throwing and chases and great with catching the frisbee in mid-air. He can chill and he can be full on play and chase. A wonderful boy that just has the one hiccup with his ability to interact with other dogs. A trainer has said it can be overcome. Would you be interested in this handsome boy joining your life?
