One Sunday afternoon a woman was driving down the street and witnessed Rico get hit by a car. The car kept going, leaving Rico injured on the side of the busy street. Thankfully, this woman was BFFs with one of our fabulous foster moms. The woman and Rico’s soon to be foster mom came to his rescue. They loaded him up in their car and off to the emergency vet they went. Although he was hurting, he showered them with kisses as if to say “thank you”.
Luckily, Rico was stable and only suffered from some abrasions and soft tissue damage. After some much needed R&R he felt like himself again. Rico is full of life and love. He doesn’t meet a stranger and thinks everyone should be his best friend. He is great with other dogs but does love to play and can play rough so we recommend the other dog in the home be a tolerant one. He also does best with dogs his size or smaller. Rico has gone through basic training and knows all the basic commands as well as “place”. He is a quick learner and very eager to please. Rico loves children but due to his high energy he may be best for older kids or a very dog savvy family.
Rico deserves nothing more than an amazing family to love him forever. If you’d like to learn more about Rico please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or jump start the adoption process by completing and application at www.wilsonanimalrescue.com/adopt.
