The Paprocki Family Saved My Life!
Samson Paps was born about December 6, 2016 and weighs about 20 lbs. making him a wonderful sized dog big enough to go for long walks and yet small enough to be very portable and easy to take lots of places. He is happy, friendly, sweet, and just a pleasure to be around! This poor little guy came down with parvo after being left at a high kill pound. Dr. Rasnake and her team saved him and now he is healthy except for a chipped tooth – lucky boy! Even at discounted fees it cost us a lot to save him, but we have so many wonderful supporters that we were able to do so without hesitation – thank you!!! He gives lots of snuggles and love and is wonderful with the other dogs. Samson did very well with the kids at a recent show and tell. We always like to warn with these tiny dogs that house training can be a challenge and it’s much easier on everyone if there are potty floor pads handy. This is all we know so far as the southern shelter doesn’t ask questions on intake as they feel it is embarrassing as the reason is so often financial in this poverty stricken coal mining area of VA.
FOSTER UPDATE: Hi! My name is Sampson and my foster momma says I am AH-DOOR-AAAA-BULL and I tend to believe her. I love staring at my reflection in the mirror at night, as that is one good looking pup looking back! She also says I am her baby lion cub, and then plays with the scruffy hair that forms a collar around my neck. I love it when she makes me feel special like that; humans are so great. I love cuddling and being loved on. I love my foster mom to bits, but I can’t wait for a real family to call my own.
Since you stopped by to check me out, I feel compelled to share a little known fact about me: I am totally famous! Have you ever heard of that movie, “The Wizard of Oz”? Well, the lead character, you know, the lion? Totally based on me. Good looking? Check, that is so me. Sweet and kind and would do anything for those he loves? Also, totally me. That lion also needed his courage, but was outgoing at the same time. I am so good and love everyone. So see? That lion…he is me!!! When people hear about this they go crazy for me – I sign a lot of autographs!
I also want to tell you that journey on the Yellow Brick Road has been great for me: I am healthy, a good eater, a good sleeper, and I am great with kids, cats and other dogs, so really, you have nothing to fear if you meet me on the Yellow Brick Road. And even though I dig walking the Yellow Brick Road, I am also into car rides. On the weekends I like to kick back and chew on a few bones. I am pretty solid on the house breaking thing, just be willing to show me the ropes in your castle. If you are looking to be my Wizard, I am all in!
