You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.
When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Hi, my name is Soda, and I'm a beautiful 2 yr old GSD who was transferred to FRGSR from a shelter where my former owner left me because I kept jumping the 4' fence. I've been overwhelmed with all of the new people in my life and sometimes, I can get snappy when I'm really afraid. The volunteers with FRGSR have taken things slowly with me and I've warmed up to several of them nicely. I was recently moved into a foster home that I share with 3 other dogs and I'm doing great! I'm having lots of fun running and playing with my GSD foster brother, and my foster mom has noticed that I'm not appearing to want to jump the fence in her yard. According to my prior owner, I lived peacefully with other dogs and I ignored the cat. I tend to get spooked fairly easily but I'm enjoying the company of both my foster mom and dad. I'm learning about car rides and it takes a bit of coaxing to get me loaded, but once I'm there, I ride just fine. Because of my fear issues, the rescue is recommending a fairly quiet home with a playful canine and without young kids. More info to come. My adoption fee is $350 and if you are interested, please submit an application at adoptagsd.org.
Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, not all the animals you see may be available.
We get dogs often, so get your application in, and we will do our best to match the best dog to you and your circumstances.
