Available in early July
Storm was surrendered to an urban NY shelter for being too active and untrained. Storm is playful, friendly, bouncy, inquisitive, and eager to learn. Her former owner says that she lived with kids, and while she would not intentionally harm one, she is pretty clumsy and excitable when she sees people. She rides well and is crate trained. She knows a few commands and responds to direction — especially for treats.
Storm was 9 mo old when she was surrendered and she spent several more months going from foster home to foster home, losing her structure. She has been in a focused training program since Jun 1, and will continue with this until early July. She is also participating in the Cheshire County Jail's enrichment program.
Why is Storm " Some Experience Required "? Her ideal family will have rottweiler experience, a desire to continue her training (she loves agility, for example), work with her on impulse control and give her positive direction. Storm loves to work. She is not a lab in black & tan clothing. While she has been dog social in training she should really be the only dog in the home. Kids over 12. Applicants must meet with our trainer prior to adoption.
